Installation method: foundationless (on sleepers)
These scales do not require the manufacture of an expensive concrete foundation and tamping of crushed stone ballast during operation. Foundationless carriage scales are load-receiving modules for each carriage bogie, between which there is a rail section of the track. The load receiving module of a railway scale consists of a platform, a foundation frame, strain gauge sensors, a strain gauge signal processing unit, and anti-theft struts to limit the mobility of the platform. The foundation frame is installed on railway sleepers with a lowering of 300 mm relative to the general level of the sleepers. The absence of foundation work and the modular design of carriage scales make it possible to install them in 2-3 days.
- The scales are installed on standard reinforced concrete sleepers at any time of the year:
- make pits at the installation site of platforms measuring 6.5 x 3.0 m with a depth of 0.8 m from the rail head;
- backfill with crushed stone of fraction 5-25 in a layer of 0.2 m with compaction;
- install scales (on sleepers).
- If it is necessary to move the scales to another location, no capital costs are required.
- Installation of scales is carried out in 2-3 working shifts.
- Self-orienting sensor supports ensure stability of scale readings and high measurement accuracy.
- The scales are adjusted in kilogram mode (d = 1 kg). Calibration of scales can be carried out by the Customer independently in the presence of weighing means and in the presence of the State Verifier.
- The electronics of the scales allow for self-diagnosis with information about faults displayed on the display of the weighing terminal. The scales provide the possibility of computer recording of weighing results, as well as displaying information on a computer display and/or on a printer.
Installation method: on precast concrete foundation
These scales also do not require the manufacture of an expensive monolithic foundation and tamping of crushed stone ballast during operation.
A prefabricated reinforced concrete foundation consists of blocks and slabs that are manufactured using reinforced concrete structures.
Installation method:
- make pits at the installation site of platforms of size;
- backfill with crushed stone of fraction 5-25 in a layer of 0.2 m with compaction;
- install foundation blocks and slabs;
- install scales (2-3 work shifts)
If it is necessary to move the scales to another location, no capital costs are required.
